Acceptable Use Policy

Rules and guidelines for using SafeLogs services

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of the SafeLogs platform, services, APIs, and connected hardware (the "Services"). It is incorporated by reference into the SafeLogs Terms of Service and applies to all users, customers, affiliates, and authorized users.

Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of access without notice.


1. PERMITTED USE

You may use the Services solely for legitimate internal business purposes related to operational documentation, monitoring, recordkeeping, and compliance support within your organization.

You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account and by your Authorized Users.


2. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You may not, directly or indirectly:

2.1 Unlawful or Harmful Use

  • Use the Services in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent records
  • Falsify logs, audits, training records, or sensor data
  • Use the Services to conceal violations or misrepresent operational conditions

2.2 Security and System Abuse

  • Attempt to bypass authentication or access controls
  • Interfere with or disrupt system integrity or performance
  • Introduce malware, exploits, or malicious code
  • Conduct penetration testing or vulnerability scanning without written authorization
  • Attempt to access data belonging to other customers

2.3 Misuse of Accounts and Access

  • Share login credentials across individuals or locations improperly
  • Allow unauthorized users to access the Services
  • Use generic or shared accounts where individual attribution is required
  • Circumvent subscription limits, user limits, or hardware limits

2.4 Data and Content Abuse

  • Upload content you do not have the right to use or share
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Upload content containing sensitive personal data beyond what is necessary for business operations (e.g., SSNs, financial account numbers)

2.5 Competitive and Commercial Abuse

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data or content
  • Use the Services to benchmark or build a competing product
  • Use automated tools to access the Services without authorization

2.6 Affiliate and Marketing Abuse

  • Make false or misleading claims about SafeLogs' capabilities
  • Represent SafeLogs as guaranteeing regulatory compliance or inspection outcomes
  • Imply endorsement, certification, or partnership without authorization
  • Use spam, deceptive marketing, or trademark misuse
  • Fail to provide required FTC disclosures for affiliate promotions

2.7 Hardware and Sensor Misuse

  • Tamper with sensors, gateways, or device firmware
  • Intentionally misplace hardware to generate misleading data
  • Bypass alerts or suppress notifications to conceal conditions
  • Use hardware in unsafe, unsupported, or hazardous environments

3. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

You are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring Authorized Users understand and comply with this AUP
  • Monitoring activity under your account
  • Immediately notifying SafeLogs of suspected misuse or unauthorized access

4. ENFORCEMENT AND CONSEQUENCES

SafeLogs may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Suspend or restrict access to the Services
  • Disable specific users, devices, or locations
  • Terminate accounts for repeated or severe violations
  • Remove or delete non-compliant content
  • Withhold or revoke affiliate commissions tied to violations
  • Report unlawful activity to appropriate authorities where required

SafeLogs has no obligation to provide refunds or credits for enforcement actions taken under this AUP.


5. NO WAIVER

Failure to enforce this AUP in any instance does not constitute a waiver of SafeLogs' right to enforce it later.


6. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

SafeLogs may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
