Hardware Limited Warranty

Warranty coverage for SafeLogs-branded sensors, gateways, and IoT devices

Last Updated: 5/11/2026

This Limited Warranty ("Warranty") is provided by Jet Innovative Media LLC d/b/a SafeLogs ("SafeLogs," "we," "us," or "our") to the original purchaser or lessee ("Customer" or "you") of SafeLogs-branded hardware, including temperature sensors, gateways, and related IoT devices ("Hardware").

1. Warranty Coverage

1.1 Limited Warranty Period

SafeLogs warrants that Hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery ("Warranty Period").

1.2 Scope of Coverage

This Warranty covers only defects that arise as a result of manufacturing defects or faulty materials. It does not cover damage from misuse, accident, modification, environmental factors, or normal wear and tear.

1.3 Consumable Components

Batteries and other consumable components are excluded from this Warranty. Battery performance naturally degrades over time and is not covered as a defect.

2. Exclusions and Limitations

This Warranty does NOT cover:

  • Damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper installation
  • Damage from exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, chemicals, or environmental conditions outside product specifications
  • Modifications, alterations, or repairs performed by anyone other than SafeLogs or an authorized service provider
  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or minor imperfections that do not affect functionality
  • Damage from power surges, electrical faults, or improper power sources
  • Connectivity issues caused by third-party networks or infrastructure (e.g., LoRaWAN gateway failures, network downtime)
  • Data loss, business interruption, or consequential damages of any kind
  • Hardware purchased from unauthorized resellers or second-hand sources
  • Hardware used in a manner inconsistent with product specifications or instructions

3. Warranty Claims and RMA Process

3.1 Filing a Claim

To make a warranty claim, Customer must:

  • Contact SafeLogs support at support@safelogs.in within the Warranty Period
  • Provide proof of purchase (order number, invoice, or receipt)
  • Describe the defect and provide any requested diagnostic information
  • Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before returning any Hardware

3.2 Return Requirements

Customer is responsible for shipping costs when returning defective Hardware to SafeLogs. SafeLogs will cover return shipping costs if the Hardware is confirmed to be defective under this Warranty.

3.3 Inspection and Determination

SafeLogs will inspect returned Hardware within ten (10) business days of receipt. If the defect is confirmed to be covered under this Warranty, SafeLogs will repair or replace the Hardware at its sole discretion.

3.4 Non-Warranty Repairs

If inspection reveals that the Hardware is not defective or the damage is not covered by this Warranty, SafeLogs will notify Customer and may offer repair services at Customer's expense, or return the Hardware unrepaired. Customer shall be responsible for return shipping costs in such cases.

4. Remedies and Limitation of Liability

4.1 Sole Remedy

Customer's sole and exclusive remedy under this Warranty is repair or replacement of defective Hardware as determined by SafeLogs. SafeLogs may, at its option, provide a refund of the purchase price in lieu of repair or replacement.

4.2 Replacement Hardware

Replacement Hardware may be new, refurbished, or remanufactured, at SafeLogs' discretion. Replacement Hardware assumes the remaining Warranty Period of the original Hardware or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer.

4.3 No Consequential Damages

IN NO EVENT SHALL SAFELOGS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO HARDWARE DEFECTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FOOD SPOILAGE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR INSPECTION FAILURES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

4.4 Maximum Liability

SAFELOGS' TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE DEFECTIVE HARDWARE.

5. Disclaimer of Other Warranties

5.1 No Implied Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY PROVIDED BY SAFELOGS AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

SAFELOGS DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF SENSOR DATA

5.2 State Law Variations

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions of consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.

6. Hardware Specifications and Performance

6.1 No Guarantee of Accuracy

SafeLogs does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of sensor readings, alerts, or data transmitted by Hardware. Sensor performance depends on many factors including environmental conditions, installation, battery life, and network connectivity.

6.2 Monitoring Tool Only

Hardware is a monitoring and documentation tool. It does NOT:

  • Prevent food spoilage or contamination
  • Guarantee compliance with health department regulations
  • Replace manual verification or required operational checks
  • Guarantee detection of all temperature excursions or critical events

6.3 Customer Responsibility

Customer remains solely responsible for maintaining safe food handling practices, verifying sensor readings, responding to alerts, and complying with all applicable regulations.

7. Battery Replacement and Maintenance

7.1 Battery Life

Expected battery life for sensors is approximately 36-48 months under normal operating conditions. Actual battery life may vary based on usage patterns, environmental conditions, and transmission frequency.

7.2 Battery Replacement

Batteries are not covered under this Warranty. Customer is responsible for monitoring battery levels and replacing batteries or sensors as needed. SafeLogs will provide battery replacement instructions and may offer battery replacement services at additional cost.

7.3 Low Battery Alerts

SafeLogs will make reasonable efforts to provide low battery alerts through the software platform, but does not guarantee timely notification. Customer is responsible for proactive battery monitoring.

8. Installation and Proper Use

8.1 Installation Requirements

Customer is responsible for proper installation of Hardware in accordance with SafeLogs' instructions. Improper installation voids this Warranty.

8.2 Operating Conditions

Hardware must be used within specified operating conditions:

  • Temperature sensors: -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F)
  • Humidity: 0-95% non-condensing
  • Indoor use only (unless specified as outdoor-rated)
  • Avoid direct water exposure, submersion, or placement in hazardous locations

8.3 Firmware Updates

Customer agrees to install firmware updates as recommended by SafeLogs. Failure to install critical security updates may void this Warranty.

9. Transfer and Assignment

This Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser or lessee. If Hardware is sold, transferred, or otherwise disposed of, this Warranty terminates immediately.

10. Term and Termination

10.1 Warranty Period

This Warranty begins on the date of delivery and continues for one (1) year.

10.2 Automatic Termination

This Warranty automatically terminates if Customer materially breaches any terms, modifies the Hardware without authorization, or uses it outside specified operating conditions.

11. Extended Warranty Options

SafeLogs may offer extended warranty coverage or maintenance plans at additional cost. Such extended warranties are governed by separate written agreements.

12. General Provisions

12.1 Governing Law

This Warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflicts of law principles.

12.2 Entire Agreement

This Warranty, together with the SafeLogs Terms of Service, constitutes the entire agreement between SafeLogs and Customer regarding Hardware warranty coverage and supersedes all prior representations or agreements.

12.3 Amendments

SafeLogs may update this Warranty from time to time. The version in effect at the time of Hardware purchase shall govern for that purchase.

12.4 Severability

If any provision of this Warranty is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
